HPD Signs in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Williamsburg has two very different kinds of buildings: older walk-ups and tenements on the inland blocks, and large new rental and condo towers along the East River. Both need the same HPD notices, in very different quantities.

From Bedford Avenue walk-ups to waterfront towers

A walk-up off Bedford Avenue may need the eight core notices plus one fire safety notice for each apartment door. A waterfront tower needs the same core set with hundreds of door notices and a floor number sign on every floor. We price large orders by the building, so you are not paying sign by sign.

Many newer rental buildings here were built under the 421-a tax program, which usually comes with rent stabilized apartments. If any apartment in your building is rent stabilized, the new rent stabilized units notice applies. It goes up in English and Spanish and shows your address and HPD registration number.
