We started in 2005 making signs for buildings in our own Brooklyn neighborhood. Owners kept asking the same thing: “Which signs do I actually need, and what do they have to say?” Answering that question became our specialty.
Today we make HPD, FDNY and DOB signs for apartment buildings, co-ops, condos and mixed use properties across all five boroughs. Every sign lists the code section it covers, so you and your inspector can see exactly why it is there.

No. HPD Signs NYC is an independent, family run sign company. We make signs that follow HPD, FDNY and DOB requirements, but we are not a government agency. HPD publishes its own list of required signs and notices on nyc.gov.

Yes. Orders can be picked up at our factory, 6404 14th Ave in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Ask for pickup when you order and we will text you when it is ready.
