One for the lobby, before cooling season
No NYC law requires an air conditioner policy sign, and HPD’s list of required signs doesn’t include one. Window units still cause problems every summer. HPD says the law doesn’t allow tenants to remove window guards to install an air conditioner, and management must make sure units are installed securely.
This sign puts your building’s own rules where tenants see them, such as brackets, who installs, and calling the super first. Type your wording or start from ours and edit it on the proof. Post it in early spring, next to your other lobby and hallway signs.
